Hotel Esplanade

This place is wonderful. It is located directly across the street from the Adriatic Sea. It is close to all amenities and walking trail. The public beach is very nice. The food was great. 10€ gets you a great breakfast. The mother daughter team working the breakfast bar were simply amazing. The hotel is very lucky to have them.

We stayed here for a week and it was close to perfect! Yes, the place is old and a bit worn down, but that is actually super charming! The staff are always smiling, always helpful. The rooms were super clean. The elevator wasn’t working one day, but got fixed super quickly. There is really only one little thing that we found very sad- the hotel has a wonderful restaurant on the rooftop with a spectacular view. We went there for breakfast which was really good and with a lot of choice. HOWEVER, the restaurant is apparently only open for food in the morning, and there is no service in the evening. This is a shame because the view must be even better in the evening with the beach lights. If that could be arranged at some point, I would give the Hotel like 100 stars. It is still a really outstanding place to stay in Pescara, with its location so close to the beach. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Pescara. It was a mostly pleasant stay. I very much appreciated the housekeeping staff who were helpful and cleaned very well. The breakfast staff was also very kind and I appreciate them on this. But I would like to mention, that the breakfast was not very good though, but pretty decent. It could be a bit more varied and a bit fresher. Also the people at the reception were ok. Rooms are ok, nice to have a room with balcony. But the rooms are old and small, I expected more from a 4 star hotel. Overall the stay was nice, I would give it -8 out of 10.[ 3,5 stars out of 5] .
