This hotel is set on a small square in the Jewish Quarter and is brilliantly placed to explore the city. 10 minutes from the main square and castle, it gives the location but the quiet you may want. Restaurants near the hotel close around 10 but options are still available within a short walk. Staff were excellent during our stay and whilst the room in the roof was a bit restricted by the sloping roof, that was the only negative point! Recommend to stay here.

Hotel Ester's location and service, the friendliness and efficiency of staff, made our three-night stay in mid-March both enjoyable and memorable. A special word of thanks for providing us with a takeaway breakfast bag as we departed to catch an early-morning departure flight.

I don’t recommend this place to anyone. A man, probably a hotel boy, or receptionist , tall, around 40-45 years old, started speaking to me in Russian and saying, “Leave.” I grew up in Turkey, so I sensed a hint of racism in his behavior. He was forcing me away from the entrance. I strongly advise avoiding this place. The service in Kraków is much more pleasant, and the hotels are much better—at least no staff member will kick you out just for simply standing there. This place should hire kinder staff who know how to communicate respectfully with people Next time, at least hire people who don’t assume that everyone speaking a Slavic language is a visitor from Ukraine or some other country. I hope they open their eyes and realize that there are people who speak multiple languages. I understand that working in service industry and customer service is not easy, and that being a hotel boy at your 40s might be a bit frustrating. But please, if something in your life didn’t work out, don’t take your anger out on other people. As someone who has lived in the city center for a long time, I can confidently say that this place definitely wins the award for “Most toxic staff 2025” CONGRATULATIONS
