Hotel Excelsior Bari by Farace Hotels

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and plenty. The only downside was the parking located beneath the hotel, the entrance is quite narrow, which might be challenging for larger vehicles. Overall, a great experience and close to the center of Bari!

The Excelsior meets all the essential criteria for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff were consistently accommodating, displaying a genuine commitment to hospitality. From the front desk to the restaurant team, every member of staff went out of their way to be helpful, courteous, and attentive, making us feel warmly welcomed throughout our stay. The overall cleanliness of the property was commendable, and all public areas were well-maintained. However, the room we stayed in showed signs of wear and would benefit from some refurbishment. The upholstery on the furniture appeared worn, and the dresser in particular looked quite dated and in need of attention. While this did not significantly impact our comfort, it was noticeable in contrast to the otherwise high standards of the hotel. The breakfast was a highlight—generous in variety, fresh, and well-presented, offering a satisfying start to the day. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its excellent service, prime location, and welcoming atmosphere, while noting that certain aspects of the room interiors may soon require updating.

“Very noisy, little sleep.” Let’s start with the positives. Most staff friendly, except for bar staff. Room cleanliness perfect. Location can’t complain, perfect. Lobby area, looks good. Bed mattress comfortable. Rooms, old and very outdated. No pillow menu, one type and one type only. No wall insulation, had to continually call front desk to ask the inconsiderate guests next door to lower the sound on their TV. Asked front desk staff if guest from room 528 had checked out & they’d said yes. I said perfect, I haven’t slept for 2 nights from the lack of insulation in this hotel. Not even 30 minutes later another noisy guest was allocated room 528. On the phone I get to ask front desk to ask the inconsiderate guests next to lower the volume on their TV & their annoying voices. If you value your sleep and are in Bari for awhile making it your base, unfortunately, Excelsior Bari would not be the place to stay. Breakfast, same choices everyday, got a little boring. Such a shame, that the rooms are old, no room insulation to reduce noise. This hotel could be amazing.
