Hotel Excelsior

Kind workers, clean room, friendly atmosphere! Beautiful view from the balcony and own part of beach 🏖🔥 The only disadvantage was lack of variety in breakfast, but everything was still tasty 😋

We booked an apartament which was quite nice and spacious, with a really good view.The staff was helpful, but this is is all I have to say good. The food is really plane, nothing special, the beef was overcooked, the pasta we couldnt eat. Very poor choice of dishes. The location is really bad. There were no sidewalks, you had to go on the street with cars passing next to you. The bus that could take you to Vasto center was passing every one hour. If you wanted to dine in the hotel restaurant you had to announce them before. There is a little market at 3 minutes away where you could buy fruits and over stuff to eat. The beach is very nice, with sunbeds you have to book at the reception ( 20$/room). Nothing to eat or to drink at the beach. You had to walk in heat for a couple of minutes to get to the next beach where there was a place with beer, sodas, icecream and sandwiches. There were lifeguards. The water is really shallow, perfect for little kids. You had to walk a lot to get to the deep part.

Good parking facilities. Location is strategic but can be noisy due to train track vicinity if the wind is blowing from the wrong direction. Friendly staff. Average breakfast. Not worth what they charge. Just go to the coast and hit a different place every time. Rooms are big, clean and comfy. WiFi is weak. Don't plan any Zoom calls. Overall a bit overpriced hence the 3 stars.
