Hotel Faaborg Fjord

Nice location near seaside. Basic rooms which are comfortable and have balcony. Corporate feel vs quaint places in town……Just depends on what you are looking for. Great parking. Overall we had a good experience and really enjoyed exploring the town.

Lovely hotel very close to the ocean. The spa is fairly small but looks very new and with many different options like infrared light, several saunas to choose from and a snowroom. As long as the hotel makes sure not to let too many people in, it is a really good experience. We also enjoyed the breakfast, it was high quality with many options. The room was a bit worn though and extremely soft beds - we slept all right despite all that. The hotel was not super flexible about checkin, at other spahotels we have experienced much more flexibility and we ended up paying extra to get the room and hour before (which we needed due to an event we attended that ended very late). All on all a good experience but with some points of improvement.

While this may appear to be a first class hotel, international travellers need to be aware there is no lift and also no kettle,iron,fridge or other facilities that would be expected even in a 3 or 4 star rated property. There are tea making facilities in the foyer area, but they only operate until 2 pm, after which you can pay for tea and cake in the restaurant. Price gouging at its best. Installing a lift in the building would be a major exercise, but how easy would it be to have a couple of electric kettles to make available to guests looking forward to having a cup of tea in their room. So, one star for the for customer relations for the problems already identified in other reviews.
