Hotel Farah Tanger

Guys, you need to find the manager Amin when you get here. This gentleman knows how to run a hotel and show its guests a beautiful time. He is so understanding nice and polite, He is one of the most respectable and loving people I have met in the hotel industry. Now the hotel it’s self is everything you want from views, rooms, pools, food, location and its service is

Comfortable and spacious rooms, with beautiful views of the sea. Our house keeper, Sanaa, made sure that we had a comfortable stay. Breakfast was good and lots of options to choose from. The pool side service was also spectacular. The hotel is located away from Tangier centre and all of its attractions, so be prepared to spend money on taxi rides to and from the centre. Although the hotel does not have its own beach access, the nearest swimming beach is 15-20 minutes walk.

We booked Farah Hotel in Tangier expecting a proper 5 star experience, but what we got was nowhere close. The photos of the bungalows and rooms are misleading, what we walked into was completely different from what’s advertised. The bungalow furniture looked cheap, the bed was worse than a hostel’s, and there was no coffee machine. On top of that, the AC gave off a terrible smell, the bed sheets and towels had stains, and there was no soap or shower gel when we arrived – despite the fact that we’d already had to pay extra to “upgrade” because the bungalow was impossible to stay in and had to go through a maze just to get to it, up and down stairs, walking past the pool with luggage. Even the upgraded room wasn’t clean, holes in the curtains, carpets and tables had stains, towels and robes didn’t seem washed, and basic items like slippers and robes had to be requested five times before we got them. Room service? Pretty much non-existent, several requests just ignored. To make matters worse, there was loud pool music blasting from 10am to 7pm right outside the room, making it impossible to relax. At one point, workmen just came in and removed our bathroom door to “fix” the lock, then put it back without actually fixing it. When we asked for a refund after seeing the bungalow, they refused. This is not a 5 star hotel, it’s a 3 star at best, and massively overpriced. I’ve stayed at true 5 star hotels in Morocco, and Farah Hotel doesn’t come close. The management needs to take responsibility for misleading guests. We left feeling completely deceived and disappointed.
