Hotel Faranda Los Tilos Ascend Hotel Collection

The hotel is well located, close to Santiago center. Our stay was somehow pleasant but for a four star hotel it didn’t feel right. The room had no toiletries or even bottled water provided. Dusty windows, and creaking doors, plus the hall noticeable odour, which affected the overall comfort. The breakfast also didn’t meet our expectations. On a positive note, the staff were kind and welcoming—especially the gentleman at reception and the one who served us at breakfast. Their hospitality was the highlight of the stay.

This “hotel” does not deserve more than two stars. Useless WiFi, dirty sheets, dirty windows, fridge and AC not working in over 30 degrees, thin walls, no pump on the soap dispensers, soap as shower gel/shampoo, cheap towels, no hairdryer or any other amenities. The shower is good but the horrible smell of feces in the bathroom won’t let you enjoy it. PLEASE hire a GM with actual hotel experience

This is not a 4 * hotel. It advertises as having AC but when we asked why it wasn’t working, the receptionist explained that it wasn’t turned on in the hotel as ‘it wasn’t hot yet’. The room was very warm so had to leave the bedroom window open. The street noise and dogs barking meant we got little sleep. There was a really bad smell from the bathroom, we told the receptionist and she just noted it without comment. The hotel is tired, the food options are limited.
