Hotel Federico II

A lovely hotel, we were just there for a wedding which was at a venue nearby. Pros: Rooms are very spacious, and the AC works nicely. Shower was always powerful and hot. Staff were always very friendly and the housekeeping came every day to make things spotless. It’s a very clean hotel. Breakfast was very good with a huge assortment of items including hot eggs, beans, sausage and bacon. Room for improvement: No smart TV and no channels in English. The beds were a little hard for my tastes. Unfortunately the pool was closed throughout our visit which was a real shame as we were looking forward to it. This was not communicated in advance and it was hot during our stay, so we would have used it a lot. The food in the restaurant is amazing! I would recommend it to everyone, although on one occasion my boyfriend was waiting till 10.30pm for his meal, which was not ideal. He was too tired to eat it! If you eat there be sure to order early. All in all it’s a nice hotel and I think quite good value for money too.

Good things : Nice room, friendly staff ,good price , good breakfast . Bad things : don t take your dinner there expensive and better go to MacDonalds . Quality under zéro . When you see the place you are waiting for good food expérience but horrible . No shampoing in the room

I was torn in writing this review but it's important to highlight a couple of problems. The main problem of this Hotel is: there is not enough staff, full stop. The location is nice, large parking covered by shadows and an EV charger is available. The pool is large and clean and the sunbed are very comfortable, plus there is a nice cafe' on the pool where there are snacks and drinks available. The room was ok, a bit tiny but with everything needed for our short stay. Breakfast was a big no. Not enough choice and one single waiter and a coffee machine broken. So we had no coffee and the waiter couldn't help us because everyone was trying to order a cafe and she was alone covering 50 seats ... Dinner was good. We really enjoyed the food BUT it tooks 2 and a half hour. The reason? Same as breakfast. Two single waiters for over 100 people having dinner. They were running like crazy and it is clearly not ok to leave only two waiters with so many guests ... Additionally, the same waiter was working the next morning at 07:00 a.m. so she probably slept 4-5 hours. I would have give 4-5 stars to the place but they need to increase the staff. Also the cafe' at the reception is always empty, you need to chase the bartender which is never there.
