Hotel Fenix Beach Cartagena

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon, and it was incredible! The service was phenomenal from the moment we arrived, and our room was nothing short of spectacular. The food? Oh my goodness, it was outstanding! The cherry on top of our fantastic experience was discovering our adorable new furry family member, Libby! ❤️🐕‍🦺 What an unforgettable trip!

Pros: Boat transfers very well organized, left on time & the woman who welcomed us when we go to the club was very friendly and we were given a welcome beer. Lots of space and very friendly beach dogs. Comfortable beach beds. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. Decent massage & nice masseuse. Cons: The music was WAY too loud, lots of bottle caps in the sand (would be nice if staff picked this up), there was also some other trash, including glass that we almost stepped on, food and trash left on tables long after people were done with drinks/meals. Being asked, while you are still there relaxing on the beach, twice, to leave a review on the spot is annoying. It would be better to ask as people are leaving or getting on the boat. The vendors aren't terrible and are friendly but they don't even wait for you to put your stuff down and get settled before approaching. When I asked if I could pay for the massage with a credit card, they said yes, but failed to tell me until AFTER that there would be a 15% credit card fee. They should have told me up front. Never got the dessert that is included with the day pass.

It’s a beautiful beach and the service is incredible. The staff were helpful and kind. My only complaint was that there were some ants around our loungers. I understand how impossible that is to control, but I got bit by a couple of ants. We only did a day pass so I did not see the rooms. The food was good!
