Really nice same, amazing swimming pool and sauna

Family run and that shows. Great breakfast that sets you up for a day of exploring a lovely island

Pros: Several employees were very friendly. The breakfast has everything Germans would like. The hotel takes safety and cleaning measures very seriously. The garden and pool were beautiful. Cons: The room we had was decorated in a strange material, that was neither comfortable nor appealing. The rainfall shower and the spray nozzle didn't work. Several employees were rather rude. The front desk is unattended until 8 am. We weren't aware of this and went to check out at 7, called the hotline and were rudely informed of this fact before being hung up on without a further course of action suggested. We were lucky, a worker came early and helped us but not before also rudely chastising us that we should've checked out the night before if we wanted to leave "early", and that this is a totally normal practice. For the record, in no other hotel I've stayed at was the desk ever left unattended. Being that this is a four star hotel, certain standard amenities for hotels of this caliber are missing. Room service (not even a vending machine on site), business center, microwave, bar/restaurant, spa services (we assumed because they listed "spa" on the website that they also offered spa services. They do not. Spa in this sense means pool and sauna without a hot tub. Sauna was closed because of corona and the pool was broken for three days of our week long stay.). They did provide complimentary body wash and lotion, but not nearly the amenity kit expected. All and all, for the price we were disappointed.
