Hotel Frangos

Had a fantastic experience here over the weekend! Tried the Paper Plane cocktail — one of my favorites — and my partner had it for the first time and absolutely loved it. What really made the night special was our American waitress. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and just had such great energy. Her service really stood out and added a personal touch that made the whole evening memorable. Highly recommend this place — great drinks and even better service!

If I could give Hotel Frangos six stars for positive experience I would! We had a wonderful experience, everything was on-point and enjoyable. The accommodation was quirky, unique and delightful, the food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and oddly enough - quiet! We travel a lot for work and this hotel is now on my favourites list for both the restaurant and accommodation. Definitely staying again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Overall a disappointing experience. Ordered a breakfast burger and an eggs Benedict. On both meals, bacon was soggy and calling it warm would be generous. Left at least half the burger on the plate as it was not edible. Asked for over easy eggs, though the egg was cooked on one side and flipped for under 3 seconds, egg white was still uncooked. For a $70 breakfast, where most ingredients were flavourless, half cooked and somewhat warm, we left hungry, unfulfilled and disappointed. I now can understand why this place has an average of 3 stars. Located in such a bustling tourist spot, you can’t help but wonder how they’re still operating. Though staff were polite to customers, a hostile working environment was noticeable. Snappy comments were made between staff members to direct them to jobs around the cafe, though tables were not cleared or cleaned in a timely manner to present a hygienic eating environment. Stay tuned for further updates and potential digestive discomfort. Would appreciate a response from owners.
