While the rooms offer a traditional aesthetic and are generally well-appointed, two minor inconveniences have been identified. Specifically, the absence of readily accessible power outlets near the bed presents a challenge for device charging. Furthermore, the placement of available outlets, which are connected to the bar lighting circuit, necessitates keeping the lights on overnight to charge devices, which is not conducive to restful sleep.

I have been here several times over the past few years and sadly the service has really deteriorated. My most recent stay was really disappointing- the front desk staff and management were quite unfriendly and unhelpful- we booked for three people and they only arranged bedding for two, the beds are old and uncomfortable, and finally it was very hot and the air con was not working resulting in a very uncomfortable nights’ sleep. All of these issues are not expected from a four-star hotel charging over 360 EUR/night. When we mentioned the broken air con, there was not even an apology and only a reluctant small discount. A real shame and disappointment for such a lovely place.

I have stayed at this beautiful hotel a number of times over the years. I was disappointed this hot summer as it appears I was sold a room at peak fare with a non functioning air-conditioner. Management admitted that parts for the AC were on order. I would have appreciated this information upfront as we did not sleep due to the heat. I felt this was a deliberate action on behalf of the hotel as they only offered a discount after I had to complain to two levels of management. Analogy, when you buy a car you expect to get wheels with it! Management didn’t seem to think anything was wrong with a non functioning AC and begrudgingly gave us a discount.
