Hotel Galeon

Quiet location, stunning views, some parts of the hotel are a little tired, but everywhere very clean and rooms are spacious. Lovely staff, food ok, but I'm vegan and the choices are always limited. Good selection of drinks in the all inclusive package. Pool and bar terrace lovely, fairly quiet when we were there, so plenty of choice where to sit/sun bathe. No easy access to the beach, either walk down the road 10-15 mins, steep walk back, taxi €6 (worth it) Nice quiet area down at the beach, a few bars, shops and restaurants. Hotel was excellent value for money.

Came to this hotel due to the flight delays. This is in no way a 4 star hotel and is probably only just a 3 star at best. The hotel is like a military training facility and has no character and is very dated. The rooms are really basic with the loudest air com. Only get one key for room and no fridge. The pool is okay but still basic and the steps are coming away from concrete. Hotel entertainment is pretty poor. The food is okay and pretty healthy with an adequate selection. The white wine on tap is okay. Only cheap ice cream as snacks throughout day. The only thing that is good about this hotel is the amazing view otherwise would have been a one star.

My 2 day stay was not great. We arrived around lunch time and front desk was busy. While waiting to check in several other guests were allowed to leave their luggage and go eat lunch. My party was not offered that option. There was only one room key per room and it held the ac key, which means you can not run the ac while not in the room. The rooms are basic and have not been updated at all. The old air conditioning unit does not cool the entire space. Staff was not always friendly. It was challenging to ask questions and it felt as if I were bothering them. The one good spot was the shuttle drivers. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
