I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Galfi! The location was excellent — close to everything yet peaceful enough for a relaxing getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, providing all the comfort we needed. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d gladly return in the future. Highly recommended
We chose to stay here on a recommendation from a friend who had just stayed at Bonito & confirmed how horrible it is. Normally we only stay in 5* hotels so we were skeptical but Galfi definitely exceeds their 3*. The staff is wonderful, attentive, & helpful. Special shout out to Lucas, Gonzalo, Walter, & Matteo. Without them, this place would lack warmth & the feeling of making your stay personable. The photos do not do the hotel justice. It’s very pretty! The rooms are cute but a bit small. Still manageable though. The hand soap is so delightful! They even sell it at reception. Now for the not so great & things they could improve on. I had emailed with 2 different people. A front desk person and Sergio the front office manager about our sensitivity to noise. Neither mentioned how everything echos AND (worst part) all room doors must be SLAMMED to close properly. You would think I’m kidding. But it’s the truth. Because of this I got virtually no sleep the entire stay and my nerves were on edge. Aside from this, our Deluxe Room had no chair. The shower floods so you can only take very quick 3-5 minute shower max. The sun rises on this side of the hotel and with no blinds to cover the shower window, I was up the moment the sun cracked its face. Ok now I am getting to the part that really upset me. They had a huge group come stay. It looked to maybe be a wedding party or old farts reunion. They completely catered to this large group. From the moment they arrived, a DJ was supposed to play for the hotel guests this evening. Instead he was reserved to play for this group during their dinner where they took over the entire restaurant. The hotel closes their facilities (restaurant, bar, pool) at the very latest 11pm. (This is nice to know so one would assume you would have peace and quiet beyond 11pm.) This group was catered to with the DJ past 1am. They were very loud cackling so having a room that overlooks the pool area was torture. I understand this is Ibiza but we booked here for the serenity and the small boutique hotel vibes. Overall this group was very annoying. What was at first a very peaceful stay with other respectful guests, became a loud rambunctious space taken over by these selfishly unaware loud people. Yelling. Calling out each others names across the restaurant & from one balcony across to another. I believe the staff should have reminded them of the quiet rules they ask of all other hotel guests. There are plaques with signs asking and reminding people to be quiet but these people had absolutely no regard for others. I think this hotel would benefit from not allowing large groups like this to stay as they tend to take over the small space and make others guests feel unwelcome and intrusive. Honestly, had the large group not showed up and the hotel was honest prior to booking about the noise level of the halls and doors, the stay would have been great! There’s little things here and there that could be fixed but are not a big deal. If they spend the money to fix the doors and figure out how to quiet down the echoing of the halls, it would be the perfect Ibiza stay. I would prefer to see the hall walls lined with sound proof padding than listening to the loud echoing of laughs and heels and doors slamming 24/7.
The property was beautiful and had a lot of good aesthetics. The rooms are a bit tight for two people, but overall very nice. There was a problem with the pool towels, none being available when we needed them for the pool even though we had a pool towel card. Good distance from downtown area. Overall, we would stay again!
