Hotel & Gasthof Löwen

Excellent hotel, we stayed here one night and wished we would stay longer to try more dishes from the restaurant’s menu. The food was delicious and we were happy about the focus on local cuisine and specialities. Quiet, clean and cozy room. Breakfast was also great, extra plus for the bread and pastries quality. Friendly staff that spoke English. We loved everything about our stay.

The room and hotel were clean and crisp, very up-to-date, and included a towel warmer on the bathroom wall. The staff was really friendly, helpful, and kindly spoke English for us! They have a free bike rental in the summer months (we found on their website) and it was the highlight of our trip! The hotel is just over 3 miles from Ulm Minster - the center of town - so biking was great. The bus goes often and there is a stop nearby also.

A typical german gasthof with restaurant. Hotel - descent price for the quality they offer, nice clean rooms, very friendly employees. Breakfast - 15€, all you need, but nothing special. Definitely not enough fruit for me. Rastaurant - this time I ate vegan and it was great. Fantastic pumpkin soup with perfectly measured quantity of pumpkin oil nad seeds in it. Taste was natural, perfectly spiced. It is not hard to make a good pumpkin soup, so the devil lies in details. Their great detail was good pumpkin oil. Vegan curry was also fantastic, portion even a bit too big for me, taste perfect with grilled vegetables inside. I took a side salad, where they put some mustard in dressing, just as I like it and how you will find salad in many german restaurants. I will not lose time with explaining beer. Beer is in Germany always good, no matter where you drink it and no matter what type of beer yo order. It is a land of beer. I was here before and I will sure be back again. One of the best gasthouses in Ulm. Highly recommend it.
