Excellent Austrian restaurant! Everything we ate was excellent! Traditional sausages of different types, fresh beer and great deserts. The Knödel and Esterhasi were best I have ever tried.
I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful guest house with stunning views of the Alps and Salzburg city! The experience was so enjoyable, I wish I’d stayed an extra day. The staff, especially Christina (I believe that was her name), was fantastic—super helpful, warm & funny. My room was clean, comfortable, and well worth the €135. There’s a beautiful church nearby that’s truly a must-see. Breakfast was decent and had a good variety. This place has captured my heart, and I’ll definitely be back soon!
Stayed here from 23-06-2025 - 25-06-2025 Room#101. First floor backside. Room: Room Climate: Room has no ventilation, not even in bathroom and toilet. Room temp stayed +25 at all times. Moist could not be ventilated away. Using the toilet was discomforting. Closing window is not an option as ventilation as necessary to keep it even remotely at a decent temperature. No darkening curtains. Kitchen Proximity: Room window opens to the inner courtyard where the kitchen is. Kitchen staff smokes which can be smelled in the room. Kitchen smells can be smelled in the room. Kitchen and room courtyard is used for garbage collection. Containers can be seen and smelled in the room. Kitchen staff makes calls and the music in the kitchen is noticeable even with earplugs in. Kitchen music stopped at 23:45. Kitchen noises didn't stop until after 00:30. Proximity church: Church bells ring night and day. Disclaimer: We knew it was not a climatised room. But no mechanical ventilation in the bathroom for a E130 room is absolutely unacceptable. Staff communication and helpfullness: First morning we requested to be replaced. Hotel booked out. No other form of active thinking or problem solving. We were not even given a small ventilator. Receptionist did call for service mechanic on 2nd day (couldn't reach any in whole Salzburg). Communication digital: Plain rude; no hello, no best regards, no mentioning of names, in digital communication Warning: Staff completely gone on the monday. Meaning self check in. (Never experienced a hotel with a +100euro room with self check in). Drinks: Aperol Spitz was given in 2 different size glasses (so paid to much at least one time). Conclusion: This hotel and the specific room do not provide the bare minimal standards for a decent hotel room. This room: -Discomfort -Not an atmosphere to have a decent night's rest. -No value for money.
