The rooms were very nice, clean and spacious and the staff was pleasant and helpful and the location was good. However in my opinion, the breakfast needs A LOT of improvement. For a 4* hotel the breakfast was extremely weak. Barely any warm food, the cold meats and cheese selection was very poor and actually all the rest really needs an upgrade.
This hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. We had a renovated room. It was clean with new bathroom. Beds were ok, a bit firm for my liking. A/C was turned off but I was able to figure out how to turn it on. Otherwise it would have been a very uncomfortable hot room. My friends were stuck in a old room with mold in the bathroom and old furniture. Breakfast was a HUGE disappointment. Limited items and the scrambled eggs were basically raw. Overall I felt we paid way too much for the room. Not worth it. I would not stay here again.
The service seamed friendly enough and the location is great. Very close to the Colosseum. The room was small but I did not come to Rome to stay in the room all day so that did not bother me much. The room had a very small mini fridge on the wall with some purchasable water and a beer. It also had some complementary coffee and tea. Our stat included breakfast, scrambled eggs, sausage (hot dogs cut up), croissants, cereal, coffee, juice and other items like that. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but I would give it a 2 star at best. The room was extremely hot and when we asked at the desk we were told they don't start the AC until May and we are here in April. It made for 2 very hot and uncomfortable nights. Even with the window open it was gross. The bed was hard and pillows are very thin. This may be ok for some but not for me. Bathroom had mold starting in the ceiling and water damage also. The shower/tub combo was small and no matter what you do it is very hard not to get water all over the floor. They do give you plenty of shower gel and shampoo and bars of soap. If I make it back to Rome I think I would look elsewhere for a room.
