Hotel Gerl

I stayed here with my mum and sister over the Easter. The hotel is beautiful. The facilities are first class and the pools are amazing. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind.

I’ve been living in Salzburg for a year now, and I can’t believe this was my first time visiting Hotel Gerl. I honestly didn’t expect to be so impressed, but I was! I had one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and just melted in my mouth. The service was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming, and the whole atmosphere of the place was beautiful, cozy, and relaxing. From the moment I walked in, everything just felt right. Definitely one of those rare places where the food, ambiance, and hospitality all come together perfectly. Can’t wait to come back!

We met up with friends in Austria and Hotel Gerl ended up being so perfect for us! We booked a family room so we had plenty of room for each couple to have space. There are three different pools, and a couple of saunas, among many other amenities. There was also a ton of spaces around the hotel for us to play cards, catch up, and eat takeout. All of the staff were very hospitable and kind. The location is a bit off the beaten trail so if you are hoping to explore Salzburg, I’d recommend renting a car. It is nice if you are looking for something more quiet. We ended up eating at the hotel because we didn’t have a rental car and there weren’t a ton of walkable options but it ended up being great because the dinner was really delicious!
