Everyone knows Juventus, Nutella, and Barolo, yet Piemonte remains a second- or even third-choice destination when it comes to visiting Italy. However, this region is absolutely beautiful and far less spoiled by tourism compared to Lazio, Lombardia, or Trentino-Alto Adige. As a result, everything tends to be slightly more affordable, while the service remains top-notch. If you’re planning to visit the Langhe region of Piemonte, I would absolutely recommend staying at Hotel Giacomo Morra Alba – Handwritten Collection. It’s located in the pedestrian city center, in an old building that reopened in April this year after a complete renovation — so everything inside is brand new, and new is always better. The rooms are spacious, the beds are great, cleanliness is impeccable, the breakfast is varied and includes barista-made coffee, and the staff is very friendly. The only minor downside — which is quite common in the industry — is that I believe we could have easily fit into one deluxe room with a sofa bed, but that option is only available for families with two adults and one child. Otherwise, it’s simply a perfect hotel.
