The hotel itself is decent—the rooms are fine and the facilities are acceptable. However, the major issue lies in the people running the place. Their behavior was shockingly unprofessional and, frankly, dishonest. I was nearly overcharged by more than $100, and it was only because I was vigilant that I caught the discrepancy in time. This wasn’t a one-off mistake—throughout my stay, I noticed several similar attempts to take advantage of unsuspecting guests. It was deeply unsettling. As someone who travels frequently and has extensive experience with hotels around the world, I would advise potential guests to double-check every charge and detail. Unfortunately, it felt like they saw guests not as people, but as dollar signs. Without photo evidence, they will question your word. Luckily, I had documented everything, which helped me avoid further issues. To add to the discomfort, I noticed staff making dismissive comments in Turkish, assuming I didn’t understand. I do, in fact, understand Turkish well—I simply chose not to engage. This level of disrespect is inexcusable. As a person who genuinely loves Turkey, this experience was very disappointing. A Turkish friend of mine strongly recommended reporting the matter to the Ministry of Tourism, as behavior like this misrepresents the true hospitality and ethics of Turkish people. I don’t expect any follow-up or apology from the hotel, as their attitude showed a complete lack of accountability. It’s a shame to have gone through such an experience while on vacation.
While the hotel features clean rooms and passable amenities, the overall experience was marred by serious concerns about management and service quality. The most alarming issue during my stay was the repeated pattern of inaccurate billing. At one point, I caught an overcharge of nearly $200. Had I not been paying very close attention, I could have easily overlooked it. This didn’t appear to be an innocent mistake — rather, it gave the impression of a recurring practice aimed at guests who might not scrutinize their invoices. The food and overall service were equally disappointing. Meals were bland, poorly presented, and often served cold. On multiple occasions, simple requests were ignored or met with indifference. There was a clear lack of attention to guest satisfaction, and the service felt rushed and careless. To make matters worse, the staff's approach to guest concerns was dismissive. Without photo documentation, they were quick to challenge any feedback. Thankfully, I had records to support my case, which helped prevent further issues. One of the most unpleasant moments came when I overheard staff making disrespectful remarks in Turkish, assuming no guests could understand. That kind of behavior is simply inexcusable in any professional setting. I don’t expect any resolution or apology from the hotel, considering the attitude I witnessed. However, I strongly advise future guests to monitor all charges closely and set realistic expectations about service quality. Sadly, it felt like guests were seen more as profit opportunities than valued individuals. Never trust them.
