Hotel Golden Queen

Perfect hotel. Lovely decor with the feel of a classy New Yorker loft. At first, we wondered why there was no bed, but realised that it was under the ceiling and you had to push a button in order to get it down. Nice detail for a gadget freak. The hotel is quiet and located in a quiet neighbourhood very close to the castle. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Beautifully remodeled hotel with wonderful staff, breakfast, and location within a 5-minute walk to wawel castle. This hotel beat every single one of our expectations and I would come back in a heartbeat. We first stayed in a split studio with a jacuzzi tub which was cozy and filled with beautiful finishes. If I had one complaint, it would be that there was no dresser or closet space to put our clothes away, so we ended up leaving our stuff all over the place. There were also no racks or hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. We loved the experience so much that we extended our stay for an additional two nights and chose a more basic double room. The double room was just as cozy and actually had much more room to unpack and store our clothes. Our favorite part was our daily 1-hour sauna allowance. You just need to reserve the sauna and show up and they leave out towels, slippers, robes, and water out for you. We used this daily during our stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious and you were able to choose a fresh item daily from a small menu of omelets, scrambled eggs, pancakes, or fried eggs. The rest of the buffet had a wide variety of small bites, cheeses, meats, breads, fruit, and desserts. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Krakow!

The bed was very small, also the pillows were very uncomfortable. Every time we used the shower, the bathroom flooded and water leaked out. The automatic light in the bathroom disturbed us during the night and woke us up. It would be nice if in the breakfast, there were labels next to the products.
