Hotel Gracja

Large but dated rooms. PRL style. Quite good food in the restaurant.

The hotel Gracja was a lovely experience. It is a very charming building in quite central location. The room was very spacious. The furniture is vintage and the smell is of an old room, but it was not unpleasant. The bed was extremely comfortable and the toilet very clean and tidy. The breakfast, though, was not my favorite. Everything felt like those ready made meals and with no fresh taste. I would book again and also I recommend for travelers that are not annoyed by old furniture. This hotel is certainly a charm!

let's start with the positives - 1. the location is great, straight onto a bike track / 10min walk into town / supermarket 6min walk / tram stop 2min walk 2. beautiful setting with steam running in front of hotel & free parking 3. staff are great & try to be helpful. 4. indoor swimming pool (when open, closed for our entire 4 night stay) now the negatives - 1. very dated rooms & facilities 2. budget breakfast, mostly the same selection each day 3. pool closed when we stayed. 4. maintenance of rooms (shower heads, towel holders, painting of balcony rails etc). I feel for this hotel, as it must have been wonderful 20 years ago but it just hasn't moved on with the years & now would need a full "revamp" (modern furnishings, painted walls, discard statues, re-invent restaurant & bar etc) to bring it back to a desirable place to stay. There may not be the demand for rooms in the area to warrant the investment, who knows?
