The best hotel we have stayed at ever in Japan for service, staff attentiveness, free espresso coffee 24/7, exceptionally comfortable beds with 2 pillows as standard. Rooms and entire facility are very clean. Breakfast is excellent. Excellent location in the shopping district of Kyoto.
My family and I loved our stay. Everything was meticulously clean, and the three bed room was much more spacious than we expected. The amenities also added to the experience, we loved the lounge and the record players. The location was also perfect, and saved us a lot of time in terms of transportation. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Kyoto.
Looking back, it’s a bad value. For the price paid, we received a very small room with no space to maneuver with the luggage, dust in the room, outdated, scratched interior, wall, doors. Booking.com describes this hotel as a 4 star hotel, whereas it’s barely 3. Have stayed in much better 3 star hotels. The positives are good breakfast and great location. Nice and convenient locker room. Would look elsewhere next time with so many hotels around. Better to pay for a better accommodation in exchange to an extra subway stop in terms of the location.
