Hotel Grotta di Tiberio

I have been in this hotel in April 2024: it was great!! Since it was low season, there were very few people. The room, even if not the most expensive, was comfortable and with a door to the little garden with olive threes and a view of the town. With a comfortable parking, the hotel is very close to the beach (5 minutes walking) and to the town (15 minutes walking), as well as the nearby archeological area (Tiberio's villa and related museum: definitely to visit!). I did enjoy a lot the breakfast on the garden near the pool, where I also peacefully rested after lunch. I'll come back again here!

This is a gorgeous, quaint Italian hotel that is frequented by many Italians. It is a simple, safe walk to the beach or to the historic center of Sperlonga. The entire area is more popular with Italians which should be a good reason to visit. The pool also was a great place for children and adults to relax. The restaurant below serves a wonderful breakfast and in the evening we watched calcio and enjoyed vino della casa which was a wonderful moscato that was very affordable (6 euro a glass). This will be a chance to practice your Italian since it is a local place and they speak some English, but try to enjoy Italian culture and language.

Lovely hotel. Clean, friendly service. Possibly a little sedate/quiet for us. Breakfast was great- good choice. Food was nice, but unless you wanted a full 3 course menu… a little expensive. Probably better for couples. Location was a bit out of main Sperlonga and a walk from the bus stop. Super taxi service back to the station from the hotel.
