Well, the place has atmosphere and charm, though had better days. Would not recommend going there in winter as the room temperature was well below comfortable. Otherwise - futons, onsen, tatami and vending machines. No restaurant.
An old onsen ryokan, it's not far from the station but you'll need some navigating. Most of the facilities are quite old but they serve their job. A nice stay if you are on a budget and want to have the basics fulfilled.
The hotel needs a renovation! It feels like time traveling to the 80th. I have stayed in many old hotels in Japan and don't mind but this hotel is unusually run down e.g. wallpaper comes off in the lobby, dust and dirt everywhere. There is no WiFi in the room. The rooms are not soundproof. If you are a light sleeper please stay away as you hear everything. On top of that our bathroom was dirty with hair in sink, used toothbrushes on the floor etc. The hotel manager came to clean sporadically. One positive is that you have a nice view but there are many other options around with the same view, price point.
