Hotel Hochfilzer

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Hochfilzer. We're a family of five and the children are in the ages 15 to 10 and this hotel was perfect for our family. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The spa and pool area was great for both children and adults. The food was absolutely delicious. The rooms were large, clean and accommodating. The only suggestions I have for improvement is that it would be great if they install air-condition, and that the beds were uncomfortable especially after day's of hiking the mountains. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Hotel Hochfilzer is a perfect mountain getaway in Austria’s SkiWelt! We stayed in a Haus Garden suite across the street from the main hotel. The beds are excellent and the suite has comfortable furnishings for a restful and adventurous getaway. Some suites have mountain views and balconies. The gym and wellness area are great! But the best parts of Hochfilzer — aside from location and amenities — are the hospitality, incredible food, and wonderful staff! Breakfast is a gourmet experience with everything you could want and more! On Thursday afternoons, the hotel offers its guests kaiserschmarn, a delicious and sweet regional treat. Dinner in the dining room is an elevated experience. Unhurried service and gourmet dishes are served in the beautiful dining room. The accommodations are steps from the ski bus and many great restaurants. The staff at Hochfilzer are friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with every detail to make your stay memorable. We were sad to leave and look forward to returning!

For over 20 years have visited this hotel run by the extraordinary Hochfilzer family who really do care about their guests, are always there helping in the running of it, not just in the background. We have become part of the 'returning guests ' family. Everything about this hotel is perfect.....location being, in the centre of the gorgeous village of Ellmau, all the staff from the reception team, kitchen, dining room, to the room fairies and maintenance are professional in their work but are also very caring and friendly at the same time. The food is really first class, rooms are lovely and views of the Wilder Kaiser mountains from alot are fantastic. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and staying for 20 yrs plus, shows this!
