Great modernised ryokan right in front of the subway. Very convenient! Luggage storage services also available, which is a huge plus. Highly attentive service with warm and kind English-speaking old man. Ryokan breakfast was amazing and customisable. We wished we could have had a chance to try the dinner, would have given a different atmosphere. Onsens are decent, though face wash should be provided in the showers.

Great location - Close to stations and less than 5min walk to market with diverse food options. Awesome service - Very polite and accommodating. Beautiful and spacious Japanese style room - We loved the experience sleeping on the futon and wearing Yukata. Bathroom in the room was fine.

The hotel is very central. The area feels safe and lively. We wanted to have a more authentic experience so decided to stay here. The rooms are big and clean. Definitely have a lot of charm. It was interesting to stay in more traditional hotel and then read about the traditions online as you explore the room. The staff will set your bed in the evening in case you wonder where it is 😁 obviously you sleep at the floor level. It was more comfortable than I thought it would be. We didn’t try the bath so can’t comment on that. The breakfast is traditional Japanese with lots of food!!! You have to tell them in advance if you don’t eat meat (which was substituted for us) or fish - which they could also probably substitute but there are loads of sea food or fishy things in those dishes. The breakfast is really fulfilling - miso soup, rice, fish, and like 12 little dishes. If you do get confused as to where to start then we were advised to eat following a triangle shape. There is a shrine right outside the window. Lots of cafes and shops around. A convenience shop is right next to it. In the evening there is also a little bar (entrance via the shop). The shopping street is just around the corner. The market and more luxurious shops are about 15min walk away. The metro station is about 8min away. Taxis are right in front of it.
