I read a lot of mixed reviews. We had no issues, really at all. We arrived at 10am, check in was 2 pm, but we got checked on at 12. Rooms are clean and comfy. Not huge amounts of space, but that's fine as it was just somewhere to sleep. Roof top pool and bar was nice, view was ok, nothing special but still nice, but is a total heat trap. Be aware they add VAT/ service charge onto all your food and drink bills at the end. This is written in little red writing at the bottom of the menu. It's not an issue, but I would rather see one price and know what I'm paying rather than working out the extra. Food was all amazing and I definitely recommend the tomatoe soup. The staff we dealt with all seemed really friendly. We used grab for taxis from the hotel.
We stayed at Icon Hotel Bangkok for three nights but ended up extending our stay for another three because we liked it so much. The receptionist, Kook, was amazing — always smiling and super helpful. She really made a difference during our stay. The rooms were great, and we had access to both the gym and the pool. The hotel is in a central location, which made it easy to get around. Would definitely go back!
It is a real shame that such effective service and facilities don't correspond with their way to charge 1.000 baht as soon as you enter the hotel, as a deposit for the room card. But once you leave the hotel after 5 days (that was my case last june 2025), they never pay you back. After sending numerous emails to the Hotel managers, they give you lots of excuses and never get the money I paid for the deposit. I would never recommned this hotel for such tricky procedures. Imagine, hundreds of customers ripped off every month. Really BAD
