Stayed over Easter weekend for one night with two friends. Service was outstanding: – A receptionist met us at our car and guided us to parking – Our room was upgraded to better fit three guests – Breakfast had a great selection – Staff happily gave extra towels – Took time to recommend local sights and places to eat The room was clean, well-equipped, and had lovely views. Highly recommend Hotel Giardinetto. The area is beautiful, and I’ll definitely stay here again.
Recently spent 4 days at the hotel with our daughter, our room overlooked the lake whilst our daughters on the end of the building was oddly shaped but still overlooking the lake. The receptionist staff were so helpful on all occasions and coldn't do enough for us. We were breakfast only and the selection was really good with continental and cooked offerings. The only way about was by water taxi which was restricted to a few a day, still this didnt stop us. We spent a day in Milan and as this was a two hour journey by train from pettanesco was a nice change. The whole area was beautiful and scenery was spectacular. The hotel has a rooftop bar and serve light snacks which was a nice change.
We went to the restaurant for a family lunch, the location is amazing, we were seated in the veranda overlooking the lake. Food was good but I expected more for the price. Spaghetti with fish were really tasty but the panko breaded fish was nothing special. The Pinot grigio in the wine pairing could be swapped for something more flavorful, while the vermouth paired with the cheese plate was a pleasant surprise. Service could have been more attentive, we had to ask the waiters to bring more water and remind them we didn't get the cheese plates from the menu.
