Hotel Ilunion Atrium

Wonderful staff, delicious breakfast, lovely rooms and amenities. You will not need to ask for anything. Special thanks to Cristian for helping with a noise issue from outside at 3am, and for the amazing take away breakfast picnic bags for our early departure!

Gross rooms but overall not bad. Quiet. Pool looks nice. No coffee in room. Extremely convenient getting to and from the airport in about 20 minutes via the 200 bus. Area seems very safe. Staff very friendly! Gym is not bad. Overall space is neat.

There’s a bus line from Barajas Airport that stops almost in front of the hotel, which is very convenient. However, the return trip to the airport by bus is not as easy. The room was spacious, with a comfortable mattress and pillows, and a nice shower. Unfortunately, during my stay, Madrid’s weather shifted from chilly to warm, and the hotel’s central AC system apparently takes a few days to adjust. This made the stay less enjoyable, as the room became uncomfortably hot. On a positive note, the bar and restaurant downstairs are very good, with a great selection of snacks and full meals. The big screens make it a perfect spot to watch sports. The reception staff was friendly, but not particularly professional. During checkout, they promised to email me the receipt, which never arrived until I had to call them several days later. Additionally, I forgot a small item in the room and sent a couple of emails to inquire about it—only on the third attempt, after copying customer service, did I get a proper reply. The hotel itself is nice, but the service definitely needs improvement.
