Stayed here for twelve nights for a Christmas market gateway. Had a pleasant and comfortable stay. You can walk to all/many of the markets from here ( at least, we easily could, it’s a 40 minute walk to the furthers ones). Would stay here again!
Good, comfortable, quiet rooms. Delicious buffet breakfast. Just be aware that a room with two single beds may end up being a double bed with two single mattresses on it. The en-suite bathroom was exquisite, felt almost better than the room itself. Check in and out times can be a nuisance. Would have been nice if tea/coffee and a kettle was included in the room. Overall, an ideal stay for a few days in Cologne.
Sadly needed to cancel the trip last minite due to illness. I contacted the hotel via email to explain the situation asking if we could amend the booking in any way, either postponing or a credit note for a later stay. The response was blunt and lacked any empathy for the situation. When we are able to visit Cologne this will be the last hotel we will book based on the interaction we have experienced. This saddened me considering all the positive reviews relating to staff being friendly and helpful.
