Hotel Indautxu

It is located in the middle of downtown Bilbao, within walking distance of almost everything you want to do or see around town. It is very modern, with a nice breakfast and lunch restaurant and, at night, a coffee shop and bar with an outside garden. The rooms are very nice and well-decorated.

Superb location, you can walk everywhere and there is nice restaurant area in the neighbourhood. Spaceous, tidy and quiet room, which has a hallway and a connecting door so you can't hear the sounds from the hallway. It's nice to have pillows of different sizes available. Good breakfast, including a lot of fruits.

I ended up in here spontaneously in the middle of the night after an insuperable problem with another accommodation that I had pre-booked. However, I couldn’t be happier with the way my stay turned out. Was greeted by friendly and professional front-desk staff on my arrival, and the same quality was provided by all the staff members that I encountered. The room was meticulously clean (as opposed to the one I had booked elsewhere, the very reason I stormed out of the first accommodation right upon my arrival!). The daily housekeeping was also superb. The breakfast was not worth the 18 euros (only had it in the first morning) for a vegan in terms of selection, but would have probably satisfied an ovo-lacto vegetarian or a meat-lover. There are many cafes and bars serving breakfast in the area. I am very happy that I randomly ended up at Silken Indautxu even though the price was way higher than my planned accommodation. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for! I wouldn’t hesitate to book Silken Indautxu if visiting Bilbao again!
