Hotel Indigo Galapagos by IHG

Great place to spend a night or two before or after a cruise of the Galápagos. Nice, modern rooms, and attentive staff. Everything is walkable in town, including the airport, although cabs are cheap and readily available.

Its a new shiny hotel in San Cristobal. Rooms are tight one strip to walk. Unfortunately the customer service is that of a two star hotel. After booking three nights the first night the Air conditioner went out. First they say they will upgrade me to a room with a view, but its a smaller room, I had alot of camera equipment and needed the space so they gave me same room with a view of a brick wall. So hotel facilities dont work and instead of a upgrade they downgrade me. That is not how a International hotel chain should work. I had to pack all my gear and wasting two hours. Usually an upgrade would be standard for this inconvenience , as a travel agent tour operator I know I wont bring groups here. Also breakfast is not good. For the price point a very poor value yes its Galapagos a remote location but even so expected more from a Hotel Indigo Very disappointing experience.
