I recently stayed at Hotel Indigo Leicester and had a truly memorable experience. I was lucky to be in Room 509, which offers a fantastic view over the city , waking up to that skyline and trees view was a highlight in itself. The room was relatively spacious, well designed, and had everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From the cozy bed to the thoughtful amenities, it felt like every detail was considered. What really stood out was the rooftop restaurant. The panoramic views from the top are simply breathtaking, a perfect spot whether you’re enjoying breakfast, dinner, or just a drink to unwind. The atmosphere is both elegant and relaxed, making it a must-visit even if you’re not staying at the hotel. The staff were also welcoming and professional, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re in Leicester for business or leisure, I highly recommend Hotel Indigo. It’s stylish, central, and truly elevates the idea of a boutique stay in the heart of the city.
This hotel is centrally located in Leicester Square, which is convenient. However, it lacks a traditional lobby experience and areas to relax inside. The rooftop restaurant's design is unappealing, and the food quality is more akin to a cafeteria than a restaurant. Suitable for those with minimal expectations. The rooms are somewhat compact, but they're well-appointed and furnished, making the most of the available space.
I have stayed at many hotels and have never once submitted a complaint, nor even complained to management. During our stay, a member of the housekeeping staff entered our room and spilled coffee all over several of my shirts and inside my suitcase. At no point did we bring any coffee into the room. The staff member folded the stained clothing and attempted to conceal the damage. We reported this incident to the front desk, and we were assured the items would be cleaned and that management would follow up. After several days with no response, we returned to the front desk, only to be told that they did not have the clothes cleaned. Per the employee at the front desk, the hotel manager explicitly instructed them to not have the clothes cleaned and instead offer a breakfast coupon. To this day, we have yet to receive any meaningful response. Global customer service opened cases, which the hotel manager closed without even a call or email. I would expect any hotel to take something like this seriously. Not because clothes got dirty, but because they have people entering rooms that are willing to conceal damage. Accidents happen and I wouldn’t hold that against someone if they communicated and addressed the mistake. The most concerning issue is that the hotel seemingly does not care at all. I hope this review encourages better accountability and care for future guests. This is not a management team that values customer service.
