It’s rare to find a hotel in Japan that puts in 100% effort to serve foreign guests, but Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street is one of those exceptional places. The staff are genuinely welcoming and foreigner-friendly, and most can communicate well in English. It’s difficult to single out just one staff member for praise because the entire team was outstanding. From the Korean manager who helped organize our daughter’s birthday celebration, to the kind ladies at breakfast, the chef who prepared a special birthday plate, and the team who went the extra mile to take family photos and even surprised us with a handmade birthday card. Everyone made our stay truly memorable. The hotel itself is beautiful and blends seamlessly with the historic charm of Glover Street. Its architecture feels thoughtfully integrated into the neighborhood. While the property is relatively small (a plus in our view), the rooms are surprisingly spacious. We stayed in two connecting rooms, which was perfect for our family. Breakfast was excellent. We highly recommend the Japanese set, which felt more special and distinctive than the Western options. Overall, it was a very pleasant and heartwarming stay, made exceptional by the impeccable service and attention to detail. Highly recommended
This is a hotel renovated from an historic building right under the historic Glover Garden. The location when compared by the closeness to historic points is great but when compared by the convenience to reach is a little bit embarrassing. After all, it is on the mid-level of a hill. Taxi in and out. The building, the interior design, the service, the view of the room and even the food are of very very high standard. The restaurant is a must to pay a visit. It is converted from a church. The sunlight through the tinted glass is the best condiment to the food.
Loved our stay at this hotel. Enjoyed the walk to all the shops and gardens. Wearing outside so you could sit and watch the ships. Breakfast area absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend and would absolutely return. Thank you!
