Hotel Indigo San Diego Gaslamp Quarter by IHG

Absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Indigo. The front desk team was very friendly and accommodating. The location is an easy walk to Gaslamp. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. If you have an opportunity check out the rooftop bar they have a great view of Padres Stadium (Go Dodgers). I would stay here again.

I was furious over the parking situation. Either walk a few blocks in the dark with your luggage or pay $65 per night for valet. I came into the hotel HEATED but my anger almost instantly disappeared after dealing with Everett at the front desk. He has an infectious good attitude and this hotel is lucky to have him as an employee. The room was also nicer than I expected, with a clear view into Petco Park.

TLDR: very friendly service and convenient location but initial check-in snafu caused a bit of a worry We checked in early and got upgraded because we were celebrating my birthday/ platinum IHG membership. The staff were very friendly (Michael and Harmony) but when we arrived at our room, there were multiple unfinished drinks on the desk and we freaked out because we weren’t sure if we had gotten the keys to someone else’s room so we quickly left and went back downstairs. They sincerely apologized and set us up in a different suite. The location is amazingly central, close to Petco park if you’re watching a game. Staff were friendly and provided some free drink coupons for our inconvenience.
