Hotel Indigo York by IHG

I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Hotel Indigo York. The rooms were exceptionally clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable—clearly maintained to a high standard. The housekeeping staff deserve special recognition for their attention to detail throughout my visit. The team at breakfast were equally impressive—genuinely friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Their warmth made each morning a pleasure. The location is another standout feature—just a short walk from the heart of the city, with a fantastic selection of independent bars, restaurants, and cafes right on the doorstep. It made exploring York’s food and drink scene incredibly easy and enjoyable. Overall, the service across the hotel was excellent. It’s clear that the staff take great pride in creating a positive experience for their guests. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Indigo York to anyone visiting the city.

Great hotel with stylish rooms, which are clean and comfortable. Perfect location for exploring York being walkable to everything. Staff were very friendly and accommodating for a solo traveler. Just be aware that their parking will fill up early (before 4 pm), but there are public car parks for 12-15 pounds per 24 hours that are close by. You can park opposite or at the side of the hotel temporarily to drop off.

The hotel is a gorgeous design. I loved the bathroom tiles and the black grout on white tile as well as the star tiles. So lovely. The old leather throughout was a nice look too. It’s a shame the TV’s don’t connect to the wifi, I felt like we’d gone back 10 years when the receptionist told me it’s free view only! 🤒 Hopefully they’ll upgrade the TV system to something a bit more modern soon!
