Hotel Irisa

The location was a bit far from the city center Bucharest, the neighborhood was decent and quiet. The room was a good size with a neat and clean environment, though the bed was a bit stiff. The bathroom was spacious, with good water pressure, although it had only a hand shower. The reception team was helpful. There were no breakfast buffet but you can order from the set menu and served directly to our table. Special mention to Eddie, who provided exceptional service at breakfast and dinner – his attentiveness and kindness truly enhanced our experience. When we had to leave early for our flight, the hotel kindly provided box breakfasts,

The review is just about the restaurant. We went on a weekend’s day as we were longing for some traditional soup and we received many recommendations about the food here. We tried the tripe soup and the beef soup. Although they were good,they could have been better. There were quite few pieces of meat within the soup. The good part was that the soup had lots of vegetables,both fresh and frozen. I also like their hot peppers variety and the selection of bread. On the other hand,the attitude of the person who served us was not that ok, this needs some work., as they could be more polite and try to disimulate a smile.

Decided to have lunch at their restaurant on a Sunday afternoon ( reservation ahead). Worst decision ever. We had to wait around one hour just so one of the waiters would take our order for the food ( although they managed to take the orders & deliver food in due time to the other tables, from the people who arrived after us).
