If you're a fan of nature, history, and/or architecture, this hotel is a must visit. The views are stunning, and the hotel itself is completely unique. I don't think much has changed since '73, so it does feel dated and cramped, and the lack of ensuite showers and toilets in some of the rooms is a bummer. Still, the staff was great, the food at the restaurant was excellent, and the bed was clean and comfortable.
I decided to go to Ještěd to experience the sunset and stay there for dinner. The location, sunset and the building itself is great. Mi dinner experience.... Mixed feelings. I couldn't go to main restaurant because that was reserved for the guests of the hotel only. Even that was not busy at all. The difference was better view, set tables and better lighting. My waitress was pleasant.
Didn't stay here. Just had drinks overlooking the stunning views. On walking into the tower building you are immediately walking back in time to 1963, brilliant!
