Hotel Josef

Absolutely magnificent experience. We stayed here with our dog and had a wonderful time. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. A dog bed and towel was left for our use. The room was clean, refreshing and well appointed (but could use better curtains to blackout the early morning sunlight). The complementary mini bar was a nice touch. Breakfast was a robust buffet with hot eggs custom ordered. Parking was underground and well protected (added fee). And the location was perfect close to the old square and Charles bridge but outside the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend this hotel and commend the staff decor their excellent hospitality!

A great experience and a really fantastic stay at the Josef hotel. The 🙂 - service was simply excellent! Friendly staff, always willing to help and with a smile. Breakfast was impeccable - fresh produce, great selection of fruits, vegetables, cheese etc. eggs Benedict/royal included. Even the bread was so good! coffee - wow. A real treat! Location - few min from everything the city has to offer. Rooms - AC, clean and spacious. The 😔 - nothing really. Truly recommended!

Service and location were excellent. Rooms were a bit small but the courtyard view and large window were major pluses. Gym was really good with a view and fresh air. Probably the best gym we had in Europe although filtered water was not chilled.. Didn't like the lack of conditioner - although staff provided packets when asked - and didn't like the "preachy environmental propaganda" in marketing materials asking to take shorter showers and promoting divisive politics in the Hotel Josef Book which I thought would be about architecture and culture. I'm a big fan of the original architects' design, Eva Jiricna, and didn't understand why they changed the lobby and flooring which now is not as appealing. Overall a good experience but could be better.
