Hotel Jägerhof

Four of us booked this hotel through Inghams, one booked direct and a sixth friend was staying in another hotel but ate with us each evening. First of all, the location is absolutely perfect; despite being very close to both the Fimba lift and the main Street, (both easily accessed via the Dorftunnel which runs virtually below the hotel). A lift down to the Dorftunnel is directly over the road from the hotel reception ! The rooms we had were all absolutely perfect - spacious, clean, great shower, loads of cupboard & hanging space, an easy to use safe and even a small balcony. Meals at both breakfast and dinner were faultless and all the staff and the owners were polite and prompt without being in any way awkward. The facilities in the hotel are excellent but special mention must go to the ski room - each bedroom had an allocated huge locker with heated racks for boots, helmet and even gloves !!! We were all so impressed with everything, on our last day there we booked for 2024.

This review and rating is for the Jägerhof Restaurant only. Fairly spacious, with additional room in disjoint areas on the ground floor to extend seating capacity when needed. Credit cards are accepted. Okay selection on the menu, everything we ordered (as a family of four) was delicious. Specialties from both Tirol and Austria in general are available. We managed to get seating even when the main restaurant area was fully booked. Kind and helpful staff. We visited twice in a week which means we were satisfied. The room could have used more ventilation and fresh air, it was a bit too hot compared to our liking. Liked the selection of vines as well. If you are staying in Ischgl, I recommend th have a meal here. Kitchen is open until 21h in the evening, be sure to order before that time.

This place is superbly placed, short walk to the lift to the tunnel to take you to the ski lift. Good boot room and all round good service from everyone encountered. Be aware that you can't separate the 'austrian twins' in the bedrooms (should you want to), no coffee making facilities in the rooms and that it's a money pit - they even charge you for a karaf of tap water at dinner !
