I spent a week in this hotel and had a great time. The location is prime: right in the center of Japan Town and not too far from downtown. The hotel lobby is very nice; it's tastefully designed and offers plenty of seating areas, including a bar and dining space. My friends and I used it frequently. The room was fine. Service was good—I especially appreciated the customer support, as there was a miscommunication about charges, and they made it right. Thank you!

My family of 4 stayed at Kabuki for 2 nights and had a wonderful time exploring San Francisco. The hotel is very centrally located (Japantown) with quick access to all areas of the city. Comfortable, quiet and cool, while also being kid-friendly for my 6 and 11yo kids. Also loved the coffee machine and Photo Booth in the lobby. I do want to give special thanks to the staff for helping me out when I accidentally left a special piece of jewelry (my grandmother's ring!) in the safe after we left to head back to Portland. I discovered my error upon return home, called the hotel and the staff immediately jumped into action to help. They found the ring and shipped it back to me the next day! They went above and beyond and I will be forever grateful for the prompt return of this irreplaceable family heirloom.

Location was great to be near the Castro, mission, etc. felt safe and secure. We were able to check in early for a fee, which made our one night stay much easier and seamless. Lobby was nice. Hallways, room, bathroom, and shower could use some love and maintenance for the price we paid per night. Bed could have been more comfortable and the sheets were a very strange none cotton fabric. Did not love them. Room, could use some paint. Not sure if we would stay again but the location was great….
