We stayed here on 12/27 for our wedding anniversary. This was my first time in Karuizawa and it was better than I expected. The hotel staff was very friendly and hospitable. The hotel itself is clean and beautiful inside and outside. It felt very classy. The room stay warm even if the heater is off too. We plan on coming back again soon!
This hotel was about half the price of one closer to central Kuruizawa. Staff very helpful, but limited English. Dinner was surprisingly good, table-side Caesar Salad and again the big show making flaming Cherries Jubilee. I felt like I was back in the 1960s in America!
Comfortable goose down pillow and blanket. Enjoyed the bike around for the whole day. Close to the pond.
