Hotel Kartause

It's a converted monastery in a small Austrian town, so the room is most and the location is what it is. Picturesque environs though snd though. Only had breakfast there but it was very nice.

The Hotel Karthause is an absolutely wonderful hotel located in in the small town of Gaming, Austria, about two hours west of Vienna. It is nestled in the beautiful, green rolling hills at the base of the Austrian Alps, and we were walking distance from the Klosterkirche, a very picturesque medieval Catholic Church. The hotel room was simply charming and delightful. In addition, the restaurant, the Kartausenkeller, was magnificent. We ate a delicious Wienerschnitzel, with the typical side of cranberries and parsley potatoes. The marvelous flavors were indescribable. Plus, we had a pear-flavored beer that was brewed on the premises, and for dessert we had a home-made Apfel Kugel, which was reminiscent of the famous Viennese Apfelstrudel -- both of which are a paradise for apple lovers. While staying at Gaming Charter House Hotel, I appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms, which added a level of comfort to my stay. However, I encountered some issues with the air conditioning and heating systems, which were not functioning properly, impacting the overall climate control of the room. Additionally, the shower experience left much to be desired, as the water tended to splash everywhere, leaving the floor drenched. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel offers pleasant views that help to offset some of the inconveniences. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, the hotel provides a decent accommodation option with potential for a more enjoyable stay with some enhancements.
