Stayed here in March 2025 with my company colleagues and was really satisfied with the room cleanliness, public bath, breakfast buffet and the amenities provided in the hotel lobby. The location is super strategic, very close to Kyoto Station which makes it easy to get around. Only small feedback: it would be great if the reception staff could learn some basic English to help with communication for foreign guests like us. Other than that, everything was great!
The rooms are fairly large and comfortable, with everything you need in the right place. The staff was insanely nice and helpful, the only true complaint I have is that I keep hearing kids/teens talking very loudly right in the corridors in the evening so it'd be nice if silence was a bit more enforced. Some of my favourite details about the hotel are: 1 It's very secure to ensure only costumers can access certain floors 2 The free ice cream next to the onsen 3 Not many amenities are in the room, they're downstairs next to the reception in the hallway so people take only what they'll use and won't feel compelled to use or take something because it was already in their room therefore there's less waste The only real con is the position, as there are not many restaurants right outside, so to go anywhere you have to walk which isn't all that bad really but for people with disabilities it might be a little tougher. It's also about a 8-10 minute walk to Kyoto station and 5-7 minutes to get to Kujo subway.
The hotel’s location is excellent, with many snack shops nearby and just a 7-minute walk to Kyoto Station. However, the cleanliness was severely lacking. On the day of check-in, I developed a serious allergic reaction, likely due to the poor hygiene conditions. Visible white dust covered the nightstand and bathroom door panels. Despite using the smart panel to request cleaning, the staff only replaced the bathroom towels and pajamas—without even taking out the trash. This was unacceptable for a paid service. The hotel urgently needs to improve its hygiene standards to ensure a comfortable and safe stay for guests.
