Hotel Kokořín

A good hotel, superb located with the beautiful low hill/Rocks at the back, nice terrace. My single room was modern and well enough. No TV in that room, bit I didn't miss that. Breakfast: plenty to choose, healthy food. Restaurant: good, portions could be a little bit bigger (for the price), or they could serve a few supplements. Staff: friendly, helpfull, most of them do understand some English. Location: just outside the village, walking distance from Kokorin Castle (in the village there is a palace). Good starting point for different hikes. You can say: i have enjoyed my stay at this hotel. To recommend!

Not the best experience. The receptionist didn't speak English AT ALL and she charged us twice. It's weird for a receptionist not to speak a word in English or any other languages. The rooms were really ugly, too modern and painted with hideous colours. You'd expect them to be in harmony with the natural environment outside, but they weren't at all. Also, the bathroom walls were completely transparent, without a chance to obscure them. Mood-killer if you're in the room with your partner. The hotel bar was okay, but no cocktails. Breakfast wasn't refilled, everything was gone already. Only good thing was the jacuzzi and sauna experience, which made our stay decent, at least.

Very disappointed with breakfast choice. This kind of breakfast I can get for 35 eur (more than half price) per night and in 2 star places in Czechia! No croissants, when we come to breakfast there was only one piece/slice of cheese. They did not bring it more. There was no one (nobody) from stuff after we got served with coffee. It looked like they were hiding in the kitchen or perhaps smoking outside. Our room was not clean, window was dirty, some dead bug on the ledge. Location is peaceful and surrounded by nature.
