Hotel Korana Srakovcic

Really nice beautiful old 4 stars in a beautiful park on the side of the river. Big beautiful rooms full of feelings around, free dogs welcome and all options what you need like minibar, air-conditioning, WiFi,... One bad point, if you take a double room with a big bed, you get 2 beds together who are not fixed and you pass your night falling between the 2 beds. For a 4 stars they could at minimum fixt them together. The receptionist is not really eyes communicating but during the day she will be there for anything you need, what is actually the most important. The swimming pool you can forget, she's already really long time "in reconstruction" but in summer you have direct access to the river who's totally transparent. Really beautiful restaurant with a beautiful terrace front of the river but there we come to the problem. Really poor quality of food and REAL TERRIBLE SERVICE !!! When we arrived in the restaurant at 9pm, it was totally empty but there was a couple at the terrace. We asked to be also at the terrace where the tables weren't dress for dinner. Dressing she wouldn't do still we got our first plate. Few minutes after we got a plate with cutlery but no napkins and again no news for few minutes. I went in to ask her to come that my wife who's croatian could order a drink and I toke napkins from a ready table what makes her totally angry. Why ? 🤷 No wine per glass, only per bottle and I also found out that she's organising trash between the delivery of our different plates... Really nice feelings 🥴 No service, no behaviour, totally unapropriate way of talking, arguing with the clients. The pancakes where impossible to cut and even worse to eat, she replied "I saw them doing them in the morning" really, in a 4 stars you make them in the morning to serve them at the evening ??? No really, the restaurant KEEP AWAY !!! In totally contradiction, the breakfast is really nice on terrace with a big buffet and a amazing view to the river.

The location of the hotel is perfect. In the middle of the park, just next to the river. Fantastic boutique building. But here the good things about the hotel unfortunatelly have to finish. The most dissapointing thing is the food and mainly breakfast served during the stay. Poor selection and cold. Really not welcoming. The waiting staff also looks like they are there for the required service not to support and help. The only great person in the hotel is the lady with "red hair" in Reception. She really tries to make all for all!!! The rooms are outdated and not properly cleaned. Stains on the carpet, courtains not washed since ages. It really does not need a lot to make this place great!

Unfortunately, we were unable to arrive due to a defect in the motorhome. An attempt to cancel failed due to the hotel's unwillingness. They had no charge for linen change, bed linen change, room cleaning, no breakfast and yet they charged us the full amount. Attention: They are not serious hotel owners!!!
