Hotel Kranenborgh Steinhude am Meer

A beautiful and quiet place for stay. You can walk near by lake side with gorgeous sun set. Clean and big room with hospitality service. I will visit again next time.

Unfortunately, we only booked one night on our return trip. We would have loved to stay longer. Mrs. Lange was a wonderful, very friendly hostess; the room was tastefully decorated, and the service and breakfast were excellent. Plus, the location and the wonderful beer garden. If we find ourselves in that area again, we would book there again.

Terrible stay from the beginning to the end. No one there to check you in when arrived. Finally when someone did arrive the lady should not be in hospitality. Miserable and so unfriendly it is unbelievable. Works in a hotel and can't communicate with international guests. You basically have to guess what to do and when. Shambles. Winter time and by the lake very cold, but not every radiator is working. This is the duvet I had to cover the whole bed? Staff(the one lady) stuffing her face in the kitchen while a big dog runs around. So unhygienic and unprofessional. Leaving day to check out there is no one in the hotel, unable to have breakfast at 8am. Have to leave the keys on the side, then get a phone call saying you left? How can you run a hotel like this?
