Great Hotel. Very nice Rooms, Food, Hotel, SPA. We stayed one week during peak season and always felt very welcomed. Although the hotel was completely booked out we never had the feeling it is too crowded and the service was always perfect. Thanks a lot for the great holidays ❤️
Rooms are nicely renovated and clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent, salad bar was ok at dinner. Underground parking needs reservation in advance. Sauna is nice with beautiful views but it takes time to warm up it there was no one inside. Indoor pool is beautiful also the resting area next to it. Outdoor infinity pool has a very beautiful view and it’s very clean. What I didn’t like is that they close the wellness area including the pools at 19:00 which is very early. We didn’t have to pay extra to use the wellness area it was complimentary for the hotel guests. What we also didn’t like is at dinner we didn’t have the a la card option (only set menu is available)
My family and I booked one of the Hotel Kristall apartments so that we would be able to cook during our stay, but we also purchased the breakfast option. The breakfast buffet was very tasty and had a wide selection of options. The rest of our experience with the hotel was, however, not as relaxing or wonderful as we’d hoped. Upon arriving we discovered that we would have to pay €59 per person per day to use the pool and saunas because we were in an apartment instead of a regular hotel room. This was not mentioned anywhere on the website (before or after booking), and was quite disappointing to hear. Our apartment was also not nicely renovated like the rest of the hotel, and instead boasted a 70s/80s style, bathrooms that smelled like mold, and screen-less windows that allowed bugs to come in. Because there is no AC or fans, it is necessary to keep the windows open for airflow on a hot day. The website also stated that toiletries would be provided, however, they were not. When we brought this up with the front desk they did not understand what the issue was, but later delivered us two bottles of body wash (no conditioner and no lotion). Additionally, the TVs in the apartment are not smart TVs and many of the channels do not work. It would have been nice to use the TV on one of the rainy days we experienced. All-in-all, the food was good, the view was beautiful, and the fresh air was nice, however there were a lot of roadblocks preventing this from being the relaxing hotel that was advertised to us.
