Hotel Kusakabe Armeria

My stay at a Gero Onsen hotel was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and exceptional service. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help , they made me feel at home. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed in traditional Japanese style, complete with tatami mats and a gorgeous view of the mountains and river. The highlight, of course, was the onsen. The natural hot spring baths were absolutely divine , the perfect way to relax and unwind. I especially enjoyed the outdoor rotenburo with fresh mountain air and a peaceful atmosphere. The kaiseki dinner was another memorable experience. Each dish was beautifully prepared and full of seasonal flavors , a true feast for the senses. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a cultural experience, or just some time to relax, I highly recommend staying at a Gero Onsen hotel. It’s the perfect blend of tradition, comfort, and natural beauty. I can’t wait to return!

The room are big and nice and the onsen are amazing i will come back for sure.

A Horrifying Room Filled with Mold and Dust I was looking forward to staying here, as it is a historic hotel in Gero with a charming atmosphere. However, I have to say I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. There was a significant amount of dust, making it clear that the cleaning was not up to standard. The bathroom, in particular, was filled with mold. Although the hotel is old and compact, many things are still functional. However, the small details that the hotel overlooked—such as the shower curtain and rail—were covered in thick mold. Honestly, if the hotel simply replaced these items, it would be much better. These are inexpensive and easy to change according to their lifespan, but I can’t help but wonder how long it has been since they were last replaced for them to accumulate so much mold. It’s quite disturbing. I was disappointed that, despite the high price, cleanliness was neglected. If you’re looking for a place to stay during your holiday, I’d recommend considering other nearby hotels that prioritize cleanliness more than this one. It would likely be a better choice.
